Hey Steve Does the breather hose come out of the left rear corner to the valve cover breather? Hope all is well with you and your getting your car back together....

yes passenger side if you look close in the pic you can see the hose. Click the pictures

Passenger side it's a '70 cleaner. Drivers side is a '71.

First pic is a '70

Second a '71

It was on a 1971 Charger R/T I bought . The owner had this car since new. I have seen them with either over the years. But who am I to say. I did a quick google search and found the same breather on other 71's I posted below and there are several more.

Could it have something to do with the build date or the state where it was sold? I listed it as what I pulled it from and I am selling it because I bought a air grabber. There is no rot or dents but does need paint.

The pics you posted are both on 1970 cars. Whats up with that?

Why I cautioned the date... BOTH are on my Superbird that I've had since 1990 and I bought that "sold as 1970" cleaner in same year. It was pointed out to me just last year (27 years later..) that I had a '71 cleaner and I since bought the fresh looking '70 in the first picture to make it correct. As you note your's could have been a very early build '71 car and they used old '70 stock on the line.

Yes it's more "1970" but could be early proto type/early model for 71... I think that you would do better selling it as a 70 air cleaner.
