procomp distributor

Question, just bought a 440 complete engine, and it has a procomp distributor, there are three wires coming off the dist. I know two go to the coil, but I haven't a clue where the third wire goes. It is black and about three inches longer than the other two. Any help would be appreciated. Don't want to hook it up wrong and burn something up. Thanks, Harry

u got a electronic box? if not it would be for the tacho wouldn it?
