Thanks yall. “Iam skeered” but what happened to me from so many lies from the guy over the course of time my god… how can you feel sorry for a guy who never responded to any messages about the car if this was just me and not my dad helping me I’d have bought this car in two years time if I didn’t default(dave had this car for 6 years prior to me so I wonder how many people defaulted on him without him telling the truth more the reason why I’m so pissed off) he might have made 20000 30000 on this car in that time with tens or more lawsuits from other individuals associated with this car… a famous body shop might have oust him if they bought this car and the title like I did and unite those affiliates for a public legal suit after a tv show about a possible stolen car after the bullshit he pulled here… I say he’s lucky it’s me and not a famous body shop… A real seller would say every single detail of what the car needs and declare its doesn’t have the original vin and not take a gigantic risk… I mean even going so far to talk about restoration costs metal costs, that how you build surrounding attention and become a well liked individual, I believe. These cars ain’t cheap to build when stripped out people who are new to the antique car world who’s never had a stripped car don’t understand that…. And no I didn’t buy this car for the shady appearance for some nutty as a fruit cake restoration story on for b bodies and for e bodies this is all going with the flow by me being placed in this situation.... I really bought the car sight unseen and drove up there before knowing the full implications of what I got myself into.. and when I got up there he loaded it up in minutes so fast before we paid we could’ve stole the car from him and still have a lawsuit because the title doesn’t match the car ( maybe would have been best a public story about the car turns into a public fiasco about title doesn’t match…. I couldn’t believe my eyes I couldn’t speak as to what was going on infront of my eyes at his shop I didn’t even say a word mostly I was so diagruntled out by the guy.... if I was a professional famous body shop id be so pissed off after so many lies from the guy. finding out metal costs and interior costs and many many parts over time for a stripped out challenger for 10000 dollars that I’d put a hemi in it while it was placed on a tv show for awareness of vin fakes and make the commercialism of a possible stolen 1970 challenger restoration please tune in at so and so central time but I ain’t in that position and never should be in that position. He wouldn’t ever treat the well known rich famous car guys like this Contacts are to special to him. He’s even got goodmark metal advertising on his page and said only to use AMD metal very hypocritical if you want the car value to go up I listen to him until I began finding out so much lies from him. He even called his 1974 cuda 360 a hemi car and it’s all there nice interior we was in awe said he stole it literally said stole it from some guy during the 2008 recession bragging about it while he just sold us a stripped out challenger… he gave us the rounds with prices of his off the menu(his website) not stripped out cars….

And what’s sad is the worst part of the voyage home the two piece trunk pan that came with the car was sitting in the back not welded in ontop of rusted out frame rails and a bunch of parts old worn out parts was laying on top of it with rusted out trunk extensions during a voyage back to Memphis making a possible collision behind us…. I wonder did one two or tens of parts fall out the back of the car on the ride back and I wonder was there something that could explain the 10000 dollar value… I don’t know and never will know but it’s a bothersome thought.

From bottom up it takes a lot of time too bring these cars back. Measure and measure again. Take lot's of pictures. As time goes on we do tend to forget where or what we did. My best advice is not to take too much apart. Do one piece at a time so you have something to measure off of all the time. More than 3/4 of my car is new metal. After market part's do not always line up as they should. If you move one thing it move many other's. The domino effect is what I call it. Good luck and you will get her done. :drinks:

Your doing fine. Ask lots of questions here. You will get great advise.

This is really hard to read. There must be some sort of back story that I am not aware of. I was just klowning around. No disrespect.

Easy they are good cars>

Updates I finally found a decent deal for the ultra rare 8 track bezel for months I’ve been looking.i paid the extra amount for refurbished 383 rods at 200 dollars. the challenger It’s primered with T rex a epoxy/sealer dark color for a dark color paint what I hear is the best decision to do. And I got the bubble shaker and a real 1970 seat.. I have a friend trying to find me a driver side one with the larger side button that makes it a 70. And Now dad said slow down again he has to pay off credit cards again. So I’m back to working with my 500 dollar check each month or if a just damn good deal pops up in our price range buy it.

I do get selfish and abuse my dads card but he understands in the long run I believe. I ain’t no angel with this type of power of credit lol.

091853 is my favorite seller on eBay very wise with his intelligence he helps people like me find good deals for this stuff.

Oh I forgot we check if the 8 track works… guess what it works!!….. amazing for the price I got it for a 650. I’m proud of myself there still my favorite of everything car parts.

I’m wanting to make this challenger as close to a real loaded out 70 as possible. It came with the non ribbed bezel. Rarely in this day in time so you see a challenger like that I believe and it deserves attention it’s been a parts car all it’s life I believe.

Nice progress. I like that your dad is onboard with helping out.

yea my dads a very trustworthy man with money that’s why he’s built up enough credit to buy a brand new car if he wanted to with a swipe. He told me not to buy this car it’s a very bad deal but I insisted and he went ahead and bought it. He told me I can’t sell it. The car is in my name by signature but still I can’t sell it. I’ve got to learn from a burn in memory mistake and learn all I can about mechanical information and knowledge surrounding it. The embarrassment while I’m trying to make it look better than it is is me not dad wanting it of the surrounding attention of the car. He said don’t tell anyone I bought this car but I think it’s best to get the cars story out so he agreed. This is a good starter to learn from my mistakes trust me I don’t think I’ll ever be f’d again after building this car. He’ll get me a better car with help from me trying to find it by the knowledge I’ve gained using it to find the car after I build the truck and challenger.

Not to be mean, but is english a second language? Your posts are hard to read.

Im very word salad. My paragraphs aren’t correct. some sentences should be in different places where others are and others in those places to create a healthy conversation. If I’m really focused on something, it takes me a hour sometimes to make a single understandable paragraph. I’m ten times worse when speaking. It’s okay.

I’m no polyglot. English is my only language I know.

Real green plastics takes forever to find.
the market only has brand new black plastics that you have to paint which I don’t want to do that. I’m going with the flow was going black interior until I found this brown gator clearcoat jeep color. So I’m wanting to go dark green dash pad with the green vents and bottom of dash all black because I don’t won’t to paint the 8 track bezel green And don’t won’t pok a dot colors.

My journey so far and my learning so far. Those standard gauges are mint with the rare clock option all working. The 402 rods turned out to be 383 stroker rods.. the 65 dollar gauge bezel came with all four switches. I have a rallye gauge bracket so I can mount those on for looks for now until I have the entire gauge assembly restored with switches. The other switch panel with all the switches are for the standard mint gauges. The a833 1967 transmission is my match and will sell with the 1967 440. I just need a bell housing to complete a 1967 edition 440,440 steel crank manual,915 heads,1967 a833 and b body pistol grip shifter and linkage I have to find still. but I still haven’t found a 1967 bell housing that’s the tricky part.

I think the biggest mistake I’ve ever done on eBay is I became to much of a purist one time and bought a 440 6 old fuel pump that comes to find out have the same codes as all 440 fuel pumps…

Here’s some more.. I thought the 400 externally balance harmonic balancer was a 440 six pack balancer…

I think after I get the 1967 440 matching with a 1967 a833 with a big block 1967 bell housing with 915 heads itd be extremely rare it being all there.. the 1968 440 hp I think we aren’t going to use the 1967 440 crank anymore. We might go Molnar because it will eventually be a n96 440 six pack with 1970 code carburetors. The 383 with 2892093 transmission is going in thr 1970 challenger and will stay with a n96 4 barrel 383 one day.
I wish they made 383 six pack n96 bubble emblems.
