Progress.

We have to drive it and make sure it runs and drives good for our reputation of not flipping it after completion we might have this truck for years if not many many months into late next year. And plus i myself bought this truck in high school for 700 so it’s been a project since and I’m glad it’s about completed with dads help for around 11500 completed around 11500 I know like dad know we can get our money back right now but why not enjoy it!.

Standard bore 454 from a surburban rebuilt 400 turbo 12 bolt rear end 454 with all its original tbi injection and wiring harness computer except distributor coil and plug wires suburban front end(dual lights and front cap) to make it blend into a c10 work truck with surburban parts with its spid code.

complete amateur frame off restoration.

We got the front bumper and more off and ends for the truck already.

What destroyed the margin is our past work on it.. I did a frame off almost in 2010-2013 but didn’t have the money to complete it. The truck bed was off and front cap and mabt parts was off it.

1967 date code correct hp manifolds on a 1967 440 with 915 heads.1966 date codes early for 1967 to 69 casting codes. I bought these manifolds for 163 but was refunded because the guy didn’t won’t to sell then for those price so I said 400 shipped on PayPal so I have 863 plus the pulley system for 275 plus 400 for hp manifolds.

I have a complete rotating assembly plus a contact for a another early Chrysler engine that my dad and I might buy.

the 383 is in bad shape life threatening condition it was in but now looking better someone but a lot a lot a lot of sealer in the water to clog up the leak. Leak was in the cylinder wall(surprising that it ran to let the guy know to continue adding sealer) the water jackets was completely filled up hardened by sealer after the guys from the machine shop took the freeze plugs out and that’s why we got it back non completed what I found out we sent it off and that group said it’s not saveable and a group has work there best to save it after the other group before put a sleeve in it prior. Looks like it’s going to need two sleeves now also. These guys are working on hundreds of Diesel engines every week so just then spending time in there weeks to work a engine that most wouldn’t try to help is more than we can say…

We should have known a 750 dollar 383hp and 2892093 transmission in this day in time would have enormous problems.. I hope the transmission ain’t this bad.. we already put a sleeve in the 383 why we sent it off again so we are closing in on a big amount for this motor and transmission with the 750… and with a 383(not 426) with two sleeve is not really worth it my dad thinks…

My dad and I are going to build motors in the house during the winter so we might have a cherry picker in the house(teaser) for the engine stand lol…

What I’ve been polishing you can tell daylight doesn’t show imperfection has much as headlight from a vehicle.

When we eventually sell it we are going to drive it hundreds of miles away and take pictures during the drive there and back and infront of a building in a far off town to really grab the buyers attention.

And yea I know 4 month difference in hp manifold date codes(still I think they re matching from factory)…. Still 1967 hp manifolds both of em that you can’t find in many many many many months of looking on eBay because I’ve looks for hp manifolds for along time.

I got thr complete automatic 1970 only system that’s AINT RUSTED AND ITS COMPLETE…

I got refunded green reconditioned seats rear and fronts 1970 real seats because I jumped the gun and bought them without understanding shipping prices from 1200 miles away for 6 pieces… my dad responded and thought before if it’s anything above 400 just refund.. so we are stuck back with a passenger seat that needs to be restored with no driver seat.

Yea I know my dad got so frustrated at me about those tissue dispensers I had to pay him back at the first of this month…….

What color vinyl top are you putting on.

There three colors my dad and i are thinking about it’s either gator clearcoat brown with dark green interior dark green metallic and high impact green because thats my favorite color. when I use to mud bog when I was kid on my dark green brute force i always to lime green for the brute force. So gator brown is a tough one that I cant see well what vinyl top it needs and I can’t find a se car that has that color so until it’s painted and in sight I then can go by it. Dark mattalic green dark green vinyl and high impact dark vinyl.

My neighbor gave this camaro to me for free. So This camaro is a very rust free car surprising because it sat in the rain sleet snow for close to 20 years outside in the weather.

Terrible news I was backing the truck up with the door open and hit the black pole! But I have to look at the positive that dang pint stuck good because of that high build I guess.. my dad says it’s worth 15000 if you flip after it’s done with no road miles but he said it’s worth 20000 or 25000 if you take care of it and prove that the paint is durable over years because it’s a driver quality paint job. Randy told me paint causes stress so I see this paint job as a well done driver quality that doesn’t cause stress but I have to first prove the paint is durable to get 20000.

I’m taking a break from thr challenger and going to something cheaper so my dad can get caught up. The camaro has all the seats interoir conponents t tops vents the entire wiring harness gauges dash steering colunm and thr car is mostly rust free we even have a 350 engine lined up and 350 turbo lined up so we think it’s best to move to that and take a break from thr challenger until painting season after we get the motors all built during the winter

On thr camaro I’m not going to worry about going to down to bare metal I’m going to scuff the rust and put frame paint on the metal like normal people who don’t have the professional tools cfm or money to do down to bare metal on cars… that white truck had 8 layers of paint on it on the exterior and if it wasn’t for a secret of mine(a heat gun and scraper I would have never gotten that paint off CHEAPLY without a da going back over and over again.. be very careful to not warp the metal if you use a heat gun on paint and be very careful not to guog the metal. Heat up and it comes off like slicing a tomato.
