I had wanted to install one of these on my 451 build back in 2015 but when I saw it in person I could not believe how tall it was and it wouldn't work with my valve covers or heads. I hadn't realized they had updated the design for better fitment. I may now look at getting one in the future I'm currently running a Firecore distributor, but without vacuum advance hooked up and it works well, so I'm hesitant to mess with it - for now. I also run a Lithium Titanate battery and 2/0 cables, so plenty of cranking power.

The Progression Ignition system is a world apart and ahead of ANY other system without getting into EFI and the supporting electronics that go with it.
2 immediate practical benefits of the Progression system is the security of the Ignition Lockout and the offset to raise your idle speed up to the ideal RPM level when you turn on your Air Condition compressor. That AC feature is even better if you have an automatic transmission.
