question for fiberglass decklid guys

What do you use for a seal around the trunk. I bought a replacement factory seal and it looks like it will make the decklid buldge up on the edges without enough weight to compress it. Thoughts?

I used the 1/4 x 1 sealf adhesive foam like they use under toppers on my race car. They make in different width and thickness so you can find one to make your deck lid set where needed.

Its a pin on, we are putting it on 8 quick connects

If you're using Dzus fasteners, make sure that foam is real light and easily compressible. Those pin on lids are super flimsy.

got any pics of one with dzus fasteners? i was actually thinking about building a frame off the stock hinges and making a box to mount it to. thoughts on that idea?
