Radiator Recore

I remember paying $125 for a new radiator for the farm truck. 78 Chev. Last year I got a new core for my camper van, original type. Cost over $1000. He too is closing shop.
How come my 41 Ford tractor is still running on most of its original stuff. Except the electronic ignition.

Get an alum rad. Probably cheaper than a recore & cools better.
Agreed. About 13 years ago, I looked into the cost to recore my '70 Charger rad, I think it was about $600 (CAD). I got a Champion aluminum rad for about half of that and it'll cool way better. It would probably cost a lot more nowadays, copper ain't cheap. It doesn't look stock, but that doesn't matter to me.
