Looks nice, Dennis.

I hear an electric fuel pump solves the heat soak issue. You can get a helper that works with your mechanical pump if you don't want to chance the electric one going out.

Good, quiet ones are expensive, though.

Is ADAMS metal polish?? paste or liquid?? i like to try new, but all i ever use is Nu-Vite which works nice on plexi and paint as well...but expensive. about 70.00 a lb.....comes in about 6 different grits......Nu-Vite bought mfg rights from Douglas Aircraft, their own in house polishing system...for the aluminum i just use the last two grades, the C which is a cutter, will pull 400 scratches out if You bear into the wheel properly. Well worth the extra dough....is a mechanical/chemical cut comboIMG_7667-3.jpg

Type III.jpga little ripper....pulled a full G on 205's!!.......that's a pretty good day. My Late Brother Will's Type lll....one i built with Him

web image....i have a 73 with tin grille....have to dig it out of corner of yard and start cleaning Her up....going stupid without a car, so i'm going to get a bit ridiculous with the RV. take a couple pics and post them....it's a cute little rig, is converted in ctr section to a shop.th.jpg

th.jpg5.jpgLinke-Hofmann_RII.jpgThe notorious GeeBee....look for Bendix trophy race footage of crash...low hi-speed pass on deck(over 300), torque took over and plane began to spin on crankshaft and plowed into runway turning into a fireball down runway...this is present day replica....somebody else can fly it...i'm happy to watch

I believe this a Supermarine Schneider Cup racer...might be a Macchi...the Scneider Cup Amphibs were something....the Supermarine S-5 Mono-plane(rather large) ran over 400mph!..in the 30's! they were also experimenting with counterrotating props on these cup racers

The worlds largest Bi-plane with a wing span of 140 ft (close to a Boeing 737) the propeller is 22.5 feet long!

In 1931 the Supermarine S-6 amphib set a record speed of 407(in 31!)....Macchi actually bested it unofficially in practice runs, but the bird was not able to compete until 1934 Schneider Cup, where it raised the new record to 440 mph with the Macchi MC.72.....freaking modified unlimited warbird racers of today barely do that at low altitude....and those guys had no CAD, windtunnels....they had ideas they tried cold turkey....strap on the brass ball girdle & run what ya brung.....nothin like old school guts.View attachment 262833the Macchi Mc.72.....can You imagine if it didn't have the drag of the pontoons? The fastest unlimited right now is the F-51, VooDoo at 472 mph
