1971 Road Runner 383 Auto. Anyone know what these gizmos are? These are inside trunk near rear lights. Right side has just one wire coming out while the left one has several wires. Appears to be some kind of grommet, See pics.

Looks like the tail lights and the single wire is a ground which is a must. The other grommet leads to side marker light.

Grommet to tail lights. Driver side carries all the signals. Passenger side just side marker after spread up all the wiring along the tail lights. Grommets are part of the tail light assembly because harness is. No removable sockets on 70s models.

Here's what a 1971 Runner tail light housing looks like.
The bulb sockets cannot be removed.

Is there anybody putting out reproduction tail light assemblies for ‘71 or ‘72 Roadrunners?

I’ve searched online but I’m striking out…

The only thing being reproduced are the lenses and the trim that goes around the lenses if you have a GTX.
As far as getting housings - nope.
Work with what you have, or look for another set that's in better condition.
