Good day all! 71 Satellite Sebring. I’m trying to swap in a new M&H wiring harness (main harness with fuse block). The connector shown in the picture is the one that plugs into the side of the HVAC switch in the dash. I’m trying to extract the black wire from the connector which I’m pointing to with a screwdriver in the picture. The other picture shows the wire that has to go in its place. It looks like I have to bend a tab down to get the wire out. Does anyone have a good suggestion on what to use? I assume I should go in from the front side of the connector. I’m trying to get the wire out without jacking up the connector. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Go into the plug from the front with a small thin flat screw driver to bend the tang enough to pull it out from the back. Go in-between the plastic and the connector. The new one will click in when inserted.

You know, those little drivers that are good for nothing else.

Push the wire into the connector, use a scribe/really small paperclip to release the tab. Lisle makes a multi tool to release a lot of these connectors, 56500

Sometimes there is a ledge/lip inside the connector where that lock tab sit, keeps it locked in place.
