Replacing a Roof on a 69 GTX

The roof is nasty. Original vinyl top car, replaced sometime in the past and the work was pathetic. Rails are rusty, the roof has holed through rust near the front and at all 4 seams in the pillars. Looks like it was covered in Duraglass and is popping out everywhere.

With the car I received a donor car complete roof. Now my question is this...
Should I replace the roof skin and rails only or would it be feasible to replace the entire roof, sub frame and all in one swipe?

Never done it, measuring and bracing would be key for entire replacement but should save me considerable work. Opinions?
 
Check out the thread: 4 door to 2 door conversion in the projects and restorations section. I think its silver 70 who started it. He made it look easy.
