If your friend is ever in North Carolina, Richard Petty has his shop and museum in Randleman. Great day for any race fan or car enthusiast. My friend has a 9 year old son that is a huge Richard Petty fan. My friend had a framed Richard Petty postage stamp. His son wrote Richard a letter and sent him the framed stamp and got it back signed by the king himself. I thought this was a cool story.

Let me know when you are coming, it's 30 minutes from me and I will buy you lunch.Maybe gracious to fan but he would not every supply race tickets to family member or discount driving experience fees. Still a great man and we all understood his reasoning. We have been invited to the shop though and will hopefully be able to do it some day.
We're in the 50's everyday here, not tropics by any means, but not Mid-West either.I still need to look onto some lift information also. We will have to see how this year goes it has become apparent I need to get out of this winter artic air.
Right now the 50's would be like walking it to a furnace room. 9 degrees at present. We have a niece in Florida and we were planning on being there now if the transmission in the truck had not gone out. We're in the 50's everyday here, not tropics by any means, but not Mid-West either.
and Mr. McCandless all were/are pretty cool guys it seems.
