Rollover E… fix or…

I was only referring to making it a painted shell/roller.......I'll add 10% because I always F myself

I understand that. The purchase price of the car plus 100 large (minimum) to fix it, and it will always have a salvage title. There's plenty of 440-6 Cudas out there that weren't wrecks and if I were in the market for one, I'd pass on it.

The CoPart listing states clean title, so unless I’m missing something it won’t have a salvage title.

Not a B body, but does share a lot of components with the ‘71-‘72.

Could this be fixed? Would it be worth it? I’d think a rebody would be the easiest way to go, even though it’s looked down upon

For posterity:

VIN: BS23V0B202492

Some insurance companies would auction it off and issue a Certificate of Destruction.

Even better, there was a guy who was offering convertible conversion kits for E body cars about ten years ago. I remember him posting over on Moparts about the kits being in the works. I think his screen name was Convertacuda. The only thing better than a V code Cuda is a V code convertible Cuda! That roof is coming off anyway!

Two years ago I "totalled" my '01 Forester and I kept it. It's my late wife's car so it's family. I called NJ Motor Vehicle and they told me if it is more than 7 years old I didn't need a salvage title! State Farm totalled it for $7200 and when I took it to another body shop they told me $2800 plus frame rack time! It ended up being $3600!

Wonder when and who wrecked the car, being the auction is here in Michigan. Never heard of anyone doing this, seems like there would be something online about it.

I was considering the convertible conversion for my 71 Cuda hardtop. It's a 340 automatic car missing it's original driveline and it needs a roofskin anyway. The guy Ken who was proposing to make the conversion kit was saying 10 to 18 grand depending on what parts were needed. E body cars use the same windshield frame/A pillars as the hardtop. I know Ken was taking AMD E body rear quarter panels and cutting the down and modifying them into direct fit OEM type convertible rear quarter panels a few years ago.

There’s a thread about it on the e bodies.org site started by a guy who knew the car. He posted a couple of pics of the car before it got wrecked and it was a beaut!
He’s in the Frankenmuth MI area, and said he’d had a chance to buy it a few years ago but didn’t have the funds or space.
He knew the name of the guy who ended up buying it, and recently heard at a car event about it getting rolled. He said the owner survived but had 19 staples in his head. That’s all the details he gave, nothing about how the owner managed to get in the accident or such.

glad he was all right, have family in Saginaw not far from there, too bad, but have seen worse fix it jobs that turned out nice.

Does anyone know if the fender tag was on the car when it went to Copart? I don’t see it in the pictures.
