I keep getting these text messages to my phone. My damn phone isn’t tied to my plate in any way. Do they think people are that dumb. It’s annoying as hell. I wish I could get my hands on this bastard.

Delete and report as spam is all you can do. They are auto generated to a mass number bank. any reply gives them a live number so your on their hit list now!

I get those as well a lot. I never open them, but just delete and report as a scam/spam. Much easier to just ignore them altogether...cr8crshr/Bill

A very interesting observation I've had over the past several years is the use of the word "kindly" in nearly all scammer emails. Maybe in Scammer School, they're taught to insert "kindly" in every one of their email messages. It's hardly ever used in common English speech. Even if you're actually behind your payments on some account, I don't think I've ever seen their communication asking you to "kindly" pay up.

If you see "kindly pay" or some-such in any text or email, it's almost certainly a scam. I think it's common to have this word usage in India or thereabouts.

Florida has radio PSA's about them.

They will send you a letter with a pic of your car/plate.

NOT a text.

People around ATL are getting them too because of the expressways all around ATL. I don't waste my money using the expressway. Just block the sender and delete.

Everybody is getting these. There are warnings all over the news about them.

My MIL just got a message on facebook that her phone line is tapped. Of course she got all worried and showed it to me. We don’t even have a phone line.

Word of advice. No bill will ever be texted to you. Ever. Snail mail or paperless account services only. Anything else is a scam. Email and text bills are scams. Never ever call a phone number that is given to you to call about your account, subscription renewal, bills, or anything that includes you giving someone else money. If in doubt, call your institution, or log on to your online account.

We get the same in Australia along with phone call's for Sydney toll it must be an easy target.

I owe Revenue Canada some money. The amount is in dispute. They never kindly ask me for the money. They just tell me to pay, and add interest. Maybe the next time I write them a letter, I will kindly ask them to consider my beef.

That toll scam is going all across the country. Makes you wonder how many people actually fall for it?
