small block bellhousing

hello gang
i want to break in my cam before installing motor in chassis on firing stand but don't want to hook my auto up to motor for starting purposes. what i want to do is bolt a bellhousing and a trash flywheel and break cam in and check for other issues
will truck housing work for small block?
What other options do i have for starting motor without using auto converter

so you believe a truck sb housing would work giving i get the proper flywheel?
