A front is moving in. Low of 28 tonight. The news says snow in Monument, where I am. I-70, Colorado's main east-west corridor, is already closed due to blowing snow. It's only a couple of days early. It usually snows on Halloween night.

Heavy, very heavy frost in the AM as temps dip into the 20s at night. We had some snow dusting the Sierra's eastern slope, but has melted during the day. I'm expecting the first local snow here, next month, but when we do get it, in 2-3 days, it is gone, having melted...cr8crshr/Bill

Blew out the sprinklers, pulled up the rest of the garden, put away all hoses and mowed for the final time this year on Sunday. Winter is coming.

I've got to do my sprinklers tonight and put hoses away. Turned on the furnace last night. We are supposed to have our 1st freeze tonight, man I hate this time of year!

You know I like the cold. Isn't that the idea in the Disney movie Frozen? Sorry, I have a daughter that watched Disney all the time. I mean, I wish for 55 degrees year-round but give me cold over too much heat.

Snow on hills in October, on the ground in November.
But I moved away from that area to a place where it does not snow, except when in does. Lately one snow fall per year in January.
