I was brought home from the hospital in
my Mom's 57 Savoy 2 dr wagon, I was destined to love them
she was Baby Blue, blue/white inside & out
my dad Harvey bought it from the Shell Oil's
executives fleet vehicles
it was far from an 'executives car' pretty much base model
we had that wagon until fall 1967, maybe a lil' past that
when my stepdad Bob took us to SF Chrysler Plymouth
bought/ordered her a brand new
1968 Sport Satellite 383 4speed, dark green & white top & guts
her very 1st ever 'new car'

I spent my childhood in a '53 Plymouth Suburban wagon, then a '56 Dodge Sierra. Dad always bought 4-5 year old used cars in that era. When 1964 rolled around, I thought, aha, now he will have to buy a 1960 New Yorker wagon with the big fins! His boss' secretary drove a black 1960 4-door, and I loved that car. As luck would have it, Dad was flush that year, and bought a new '64 Jeep Wagoneer instead, turned out to be the worst car he ever owned.

Nearly 35 years later, the stars aligned, and I bought my black 300F, as I posted earlier, the only Mopar my wife ever loved. I had my day in sun, it passed, and the 300F remains my one fond memory from that time in my life. Now I'm back in my GTXs, hardly a hardship, wife tolerates them, and life moves on.
