Spring Fling is really well known for it's swap meet parts stashes. The low swap entry fee and central location make it an easy place for people clearing our their garages or someone else's garages.

Anyone in the past got some epic parts scores at a Spring Fling ??

@Kern Dog I'm assuming you skipped track day at Willow Springs? I know you had talked about going, but it was tough to get others onboard.

Road travel shots as I left the coast, hit 46 east so I could drop off the headers for my 65 at a shop in Bakersfield to get thermal coated satin black. Nice, easy drive over and down. Just got to the Airtel about 30 minutes ago.

@Kern Dog I'm assuming you skipped track day at Willow Springs? I know you had talked about going, but it was tough to get others onboard.

It is difficult. For as much as we love these cars, running them on a track is often something we rarely are comfortable doing.
I did like th idea of going to Willow and I may have been able to be persuaded but I was in a 3 car group from Modesto to Van Nuys. We have been at car museums today.

I love the car culture and nowhere else in California will you see such strong support but the traffic we saw today…

Today was the first time I’ve driven my car in such heavy traffic since I converted to a manual transmission.

We went to the Petersen auto museum. Quite a lot to see. I enjoyed the movie and TV show cars including this.

Think Charlie Sheen… Skank and Gutter Boy ….

Remember the movie “The Wraith”?
It is a cheesy supernatural movie from the 80s.
They had a nice tribute to Ken Block, the famous drift driver that passed away a little while back.
They also had a section dedicated to EVs and Waymo cars.
