This is Tony D'Agastino, he is well known in the mopar business.
He has a great web-site and it is user friendly.

I have purchased a few things from his business and I've been very satisfied.

Good luck with your 67 GTX project!

Nice car, Hope the quarters are in decent shape no one makes a decent wheel arch or full quarter. A little advice get the longest sanding block you can afford. Your gonna need it. lol

Yeah, I'm blocking out my 68-X right now and I bought every Durablock that they make! A gallon of "Slick Sand" and tons of 180 and 220 paper. Nice car!

Good luck with the project. Looks like it was a nice car to start with.

2quick, been missin' ya on your thread... 6 7 G T X, I'm looking forward to seeing yours finished as well. As 2quick mentioned, no quarters are available, just small patch panels. If you need to replace your quarters, don't stoop down and buy Sherman panels either, you'll be sorry. You can try Mr. G's USA for the screws, clips, etc. My dad is restoring his '66 Satellite and got almost all the rubber from Legendary. Jim

ok,,today was interesting, ,had her wet media blasted,,took 4 hours,,and most of the paint and bondo stripped,,quarters suck,,not surprised,,20151119_120512.jpg20151119_120506.jpg20151119_120448.jpg20151119_120439.jpg20151119_120435.jpg20151119_120512.jpg20151119_120506.jpg20151119_120448.jpg20151119_120439.jpg20151119_120435.jpg

Very nice job! Now you know what you have. Now for the metal work. Good luck, and have fun.

wet media blasting is very similar to dry,,but way less messy,,there is a slurry that takes off the paint,,at a low pressure.
I hired a mobile guy,,came right to the shop,,

I was reading another post about a guy with the same problem as you. They are saying that if you can find a 67 four-door, and cut out what you need you'll be good to go. I guess the four-doors don't rust in the sameplace because the quarters are sealed off by the door jamb. Sounds like a great idea to me! Good luck with the repair. Love the pic's!

so what's the issue with sherman panels?
besides thinner and needing to be massaged to fit?

That's pretty much it, too thin and don't fit. And from all the experience I've seen they don't need massaged to fit, they need completely reworked to fit. Plus, being thinner even if they fit perfectly is enough to drive me away. I don't want my quarters "flapping in the wind" as I drive. One place I called about their panels they told me they were made by Sherman and even told me they were "cheesy", and definitely not restoration quality. A nice '67 GTX is that last thing I'd put them on.

Plus the thinner sheet metal makes it more difficult to weld to original sheet metal and also much more prone to warping. Just sayin'.......

update 1st shop visit since media blast

I stopped in,,,paid the piper a bit,,took some pics,
I will be picking up all the bright work this weekend. After experimenting with one piece of stainless I have decided to tackle that myself.
Everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving
God bless America

Whatever panel I use, we plan on just using the lower portion at the horizontal line that runs the length of the car. So im thinking its too small of an area to be flapping in the wind. At least I hope thats the case,if I can't find a whole panel, thens its going to be patch panels.
