Steering coupler

How do I get the seal on over the pin in the shaft. I don’t want to disassemble the entire column. Is there a way?

Lots of Vaseline.

The pin goes in to a small hole at the top of the coupler AFTER assembly/ lubrication so the coupler cannot be pulled apart.
