Hey Everyone,

I have a 1968 Dodge Charger with stock 14 inch Wheels. I would like to convert it to powered disc breaks that would still allow me to use my factory 14inch Wheels. Any Suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

Check with James@PST, he is a vendor on the boards and have him look into a Leeds brake system for you. Quality systems plus you will save some $$$$. I am pretty sure they have a disk brake system for 14” rims.

What about a factory set up for a 1974-76 Dart/Duster cheaper route available parts and will fit 14 inch wheels just fine?
The problem I would think it would be to find one of those cars with the brakes still attached to the car, I was lucky enough to find two sets, but in the states those cars are long gone.

All you need are the spindles and the caliper brackets. Everything else you'd want "new" and its all available fairly cheap through RockAuto, etc.. I don't think that stuff would be terribly hard to find.

Scarebird has manual or power disc conversions that will let you retain the 14" wheels.
Last I had heard they were dealing with some back orders.

Cars with factory disc brakes had a different 14" rim than non-disc cars. It was wider with different back spacing than regular rim. The regular 14" rim hits the upper control arm without spacers under it. 15" rims clear fine. 14" Magnum 500 rims also clear.

I’ve heard about ABS power brake company in Orange County, CA. They advertise saying that they can fit 11” rotors behind the stock 14” rims. I was debating about going this route. The images I added below are the products they carry. I also added a link to there website.

Dr Diff conversion worked well for me.
