Would some folks with reasonably stock suspension and 14" tires take a measurement of ground clearance at the rockers of a 2nd gen charger and post it? I'm wondering if my car is sitting quite low already due to worn springs. It's level, but sliding a normal floor jack under it is difficult and it's much lower than my 71 charger. I know the book has you measure the lower control arms for ride height but this doesn't give me much idea what ground clearance should or would be when I change springs.

Well I'm apparently dumb because I can't get these measurements to line up at all on either my 71 or 69 charger to how they claimed they measured. My measurements are 3-4" higher.

1970 Charger with 14 inch Rallyes an Radial T/A's . 25 inches at the front wheel opening, 25/4 at the rear, and almost 10 inches at the rocker seam at the aft of the door.
This is a survivor car on stock original springs with 62K miles.
Hope this helps!

Never bothered measuring mine. Here is mine at factory ride height.

Well my car seems to be significantly lower. I'm at 23.25 in the front wheel well. 8.75 or so at the rocker and 24.25 at the rear.

Thanks for the measurements. I have been trying to decide if I wanted new 1" lower springs but no way could I do that from my current setup. However it appears going with a lowering spring I'm gonna be higher than I am now. Lol

This is pretty much identical to my '69 R/T SE survivor at 140,000 miles using radial 14" T/A's on Road Wheels, mine might be closer to 26" at the rear though ?
