I am almost done restoring my 64 the problem i have is the inner running lights are brighter than the outer ?? I have a new harness & bulbs. when I hit the brakes or use the turn signals they are as bright as the inner ones.

Either you have a 2 filiment bulb (1157/2057) in place of a single filament (1156/2056). Or the 2 hot wires (if it has 2 feeds) at the inner socket are swapped..

How many feed wires to the inner socket? 64 Plymouth has 2 (turn /brake and running/tail) 2 circuit requires a 1057/2057 bulb. 20 series bulbs are brighter.

2 feed wires to the outside ones & 1 lead wire to the inner. I put in smaller bulbs ( napa bp67-n & are not as bright now. I need to find a 64 dodge owners manuel to see what bulbs are for the inners.
