Hello all

Besides saying "buy a holley" carb...how can i unseize the secondary shaft on my un molested 6322s for my 440?

I have tried sequential soak in penetrating fluid, carb cleaner, wd 40.and love taps from a hammer.

No replies huh? I would try tapping it closed a bit and then open. Even if it appears fully closed. It doesn't need to move just shocking it in a different direction.

If the carb is apart, might entertain the thought of a dose of flash heat. Saying just a pass with a propane torch, or the like. The heat should expand the aluminum, more that the steel shaft, and help to break things loose.

Awsome.....5min with a little propane tank and gentle heating indeed loosened it up so I kept spraying carb cleaner on the shafts to flush out the carbon.
Now it is soaking in a varsol/carb cleaner solution.

Thanks again!
