Hi everyone, I'm thinking of selling my 72 SSP. but i really don't know how to price it?? I know what I have in it, but values are all over the place these days

its a 72 Satellite Sebring Plus, in GY4 ( honey dew ) it is original paint, with exception f the call out hood ( perfect match though), factory big block ( 400 ) it now has a built 440 w 727 trans ( i have the #'s matching engine in good shape), long tube equal length headers and electric dumps, swapped out the 8 1/4 2:45 to 8 3/4 2:55( have the stock rear end also ), bucket seats w/ console and slap shifter, rally dash, factory a/c car ( a/c upgraded to original air group ) new white canopy top, new carpet, front seats reupholstered, rest of the interior is original. this is a RUST FREE car, i have checked everywhere.. 0% rust!
I have had it for 13 years, i have now turned my attention to a 72 charger. I am not sure if I can ask this on here, but realistically, what range should I start at ?
I can find 318 ssp's but few factory big blocks.. this is a matching #'s car, i am the 2nd owner.
I have reinstalled all of ssp trim, not shown in last 2 pic below. thoughts ??

FYI, there was a Japanese guy here a few weeks or couple months ago all hot and bothered to buy one of these.

I’m not a fan of that body style but that is a nice car. The color is rare by todays standards. So many people change colors to something more flashy but that just looks fantastic in a color that was much more common then than now.
I’m with you… I don’t like to give anything away but assessing value can difficult.

the color grew on me, when i bought it, RR or GTX clone was my idea, but, it was so nice and original, i couldnt bring myself to do it!, cut the paint and waxed it. looks great for 50+ year old paint

The 72 400 should be in the range of the mythical HD 400.
I know..( but it's #s matching!).

It's a really NICE car.

It's a nice car. I would guess if you actually want to sell it somewhere around $22-25k with the original parts.. If someone HAD to have it cause of them liking the original color and original rust free body I could see it going up a little. Start at 28k I know you could NEVER build it for that.

Each their own, I always liked that body style and would prefer it to a 72 Charger. Your car is special, lower production with nice options. This is a rough recall, but I’ve read values on many cars. BB’s tend to snag $8 to $10 grand more than SB’s – again this is rather loose and doesn’t include the originals actual GTX, Roadrunners. Cars having factory big motor option compared to SB’s.

Your easiest choice is to sell it to me really cheap. But seriously, after all the garbage and rot-bucket crap I've been seeing here lately with idiotic asking prices posted by crack-heads, that's a nice car ! If I had the room, I'd be interested.

Looks like a nice solid car...

since it's not #s matching (currently)
just that you have the #'s matching available,
not in/on the car now, that could take a hit in perceived values

I like that color
to me a 440 isn't a deal killer
I'm not in the market either

Maybe more, but;
I'd have a best wild-*** guess to the right person $25k to $30k
with all the taken-out org.#s matching parts

The Japanese guy said who he was a couple of times in his posts but there was some communication issues.

I'm going to have the same pricing problem soon with the '71 Charger 500. Where did you find that chart YY1?
