This week is a good week ( last mortgage payment)

The bank notified us that this month is the last payment of my home, this has been a long and hard journey specially with the pandemic, but never ever miss one pay, am 46 yo and this feel ...odd we ( the wife and i) still don't believe it, the interest here are way higher than in the US and sometimes we just had enough to spend the weekend, ten long years but is finally over, I want to share this with you, bunch of old grumpy guys.
My wife is in charge of all the decorations.

Congratulations on no longer having a mortgage. Life gets easier after that. We built a new house about 20 years ago, and had about 10 years to pay it off before I retired. A lot of scrimping and saving, but we did it.

I just learned recently that most countries don’t have fixed interest mortgages like the U.S.. So it’s a good thing to have it paid off with the rising interest rates.

Congrats! One of the best life accomplishments. It was a great feeling when we paid ours off early, we were in our 40's. It was an even better feeling when we paid off our business, we were still in our 40's. Then it was absolutely the best feeling when we sold our business! Next goal is early retirement, fingers crossed.
