It’s super cool but the real reason it won’t work is due to air traffic control and the lack of want and ability of the common man to learn how to fly and follow air regs. It (the skies) would be a disaster at 8000’ and below…. I couldn’t imagine the crashes and near misses from Joe blow flying his car to the supermarket!

Fossil fuels will always be around, just in less supply and higher cost. They're so stinking rich from screwing everyone else that the cost of fuels doesn't bother them. DiCaprio flies around the globe in his private jet to lecture on climate change, Jane Fonda and Neil Young fly first class to tour and condemn the oil sands. Every televangelist owns at least one jet. No sir, the price and lack of fossil fuels is only a problem for the middle class on down.

I will imagine there really is not much of a difference between flying that car and flying to 172.
Get checked out on both and show that your proficient and able to safely fly.

What’s going to cause the problem is the mass of these flying cars and mass of moronic pilots flying them in the clutter in the sky that it’s going to cause.

could you only imagine 1 million or 2 million of these aircraft flying in visual conditions maintaining their own separation and avoidance?

and even if they filed an instrument flight plan and had ATC to maintain separation for them, it would be a gigantic cluster **** and I would be scared to death to even want to get into the pattern or flying approach in those conditions
