Thread Sealer on a Oil Pressure Sending Unit?

I am ready to install a new oil pressure sending unit on my 383 engine. Should any type of sealer be applied to the threads or just screw it in without anything? Thanks

I would. Loctite 592 thread sealant

I use Permatex Thread Sealer with PTFE. The Locktite is good too.

Any brand of liquid/paste pipe dope will work.
