I have been raked over the coals, I think very unfairly, because of some assumptions, and my virus riddled computer.
To start with, show me the post where I say I am going to ignore all advice. I made a couple of statements, which were made only to give more information about the original problem, and people assumed the wrong intention of those statements.
Next, when I asked what that post meant, my computer was not showing that there was a video attached. So tell me, if any one of you saw that post with only a quote, wouldn't you wonder what it meant?
I value and use the advice I have been given on this site. I even thank people that give me the old " My brother's buddy has a friend that says he thinks he knows the answer".
I try to reciprocate and help out others, but so many here are so much more knowledgeable and quicker than I that my advice is usually a day late and a dollar short. I do know that I have helped others on this site.
I am frantically trying to get my car ready before the Woodward Dream Cruise (8/17), and partly because of the Heinz 57 mix and match nature of the car I am continually running into slowdowns. I admit I have taken some shortcuts, but that is my choice.
I think it would be very unjust if the incorrect assumptions made about me were to convince some people to stop giving me advice because they would think I would just ignore it . By the way, I bought the correct cable and I got the engine started for the first time since I bought the car.
