Hello Everyone, I am just getting started in the restoration of a 1973 Dodge Charger. I got this car as a basket case and have found that the VIN number does not match the engine block casting numbers. It appears that someone replaced the old 400 engine with one from 1976-78.
The question I have is this: Does this engine use the 2 bbl or 4 bbl carburetor? My research tells me that Chrysler discontinues the 2 bbl on the 400 for these last two years. If this is so, that may explain why I am having difficulty starting the engine with this 2bbl Holley
Thanks in advance for your inputs,
Tim
