Hi everyone searched but couldn’t find anything.
On my 65’ coronet the PO fitted a rebuilt 326” and torqueflite trans that was supposedly rebuilt.
I had a fairly major leak from the front half near the pan that I identified as a selector/shift shaft seal. I took the linkage off but the shaft looks nothing like the shafts I am seeing online.
Rummaging around I was able to remove the small rubber cup seal and it started pouring out. The issue is there doesn’t appear to be a larger diameter to the shaft underneath the small grommet/washer for the main cup seal.
Hard to describe but harder to get a picture of!
Below picture of the seal I was able to remove but under this there doesn’t appear to be a seal of any kind- this sits recessed in the case. Not like the second picture?
Was there any model differences that I’ve missed?
