Trac-Lok vs Powr_Lok ?

Can someone tell me the difference between these 2 diffs. I found in the trunk a N.O.S. shipped from DANA to Chrysler with a Dodge model 60 9 3/4 differential case assm. kit. PN#27168-3X But it says it's a Trac-Lok. Will it work in my RR ? I'm not a wrench by any means so any help is always appreciated.

Depends on the size and axle splines.....but, the Power Lok imo is a much better unit than the Track Lok. The PL has internal clutches (inboard of the side gears and the TL has it's clutches outboard of the side gears. The PL is also a split case design and the TL is a one piece design and is cheaper for the manufacturer to make than the PL.
