Trans blanket

It's past my bed time but here's probably the stupid question of the day. Why can't someone use a trans blanket over a bell housing, assuming it could be fashioned to stay for a "better than nothing " attempt at safety? A quick time bell housing is not cheap as you know. You may throw tomatoes now, I will check the answers tomorrow. Thanks, Willie.
 
Nobody said you couldn't.

It wouldn't pass a tech inspection but I sure agree its better then nothing. IMHO

But....You can find deals out there for used scattershields if you dont want to break the bank.

I suppose I should look for a good used one. I plan to use the 23 spline that I have but the motor is now a 512 so I'm gonna have to drive easy but failure is probable.
