When I pulled the engine out of my 63 I noticed a bad engine mount on the drivers side. Other than knowing it had to be replaced I wasn't to concerned about it. While moving the car to its winter storage position I noticed that the entire transmission was rotating when it was put in gear and force was applied to the front or rear of the car.
My guess is that when the previous owner installed the newer engine and trans he did not modify the trans mount, this would mean that all of the torque is being placed on that one engine mount and the transmission is basically able to move freely. Has anyone made a mount or has everyone just bought one???
