Tremec TKO 600 drain plug question.

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the stock drain plug on their Tremec with a magnetic one? Does anyone happen to know if that plug is an NPT 1/2" 20? Thanks!

When I rebuilt this Tremec 5-speed trans the plug in it was a magnetic plug. And as far as I know it was the stock drain plug. Ron

Thanks Ron, By any chance, were you rebuilding it because it leaked? My TKO 600 doesn't even have 2,500 miles and it lost a quart and a half of oil! I think it is leaking from the input shaft seal. Almost 5k for a transmission and it leaks.....ridiculous!

No I was rebuilding it because he had it stuck in second gear and it damaged the teeth on second gear. Ron
