For you big HP guys.
New announcement on Facebook:

I have B1s with 2.200 intake. 1.88 exhaust. Was top of the heap 20 years ago. Everyone has easily caught up. With TF taking the lead?

Wonder how much they would cost? And if they'll be max wedge ports.

Cool - I thought the 270's were already MW ports?
The 270’s are max wedge so these are too. The 279s are $1500 each, so expect these to be more. Unless your building a rocket the 270’s would be all you would ever need. The 270s have a peak intake flow of 352 CFM, which should easily make in the 700-850 horsepower range in a 500+CI engine, depending on the rest of your build.

This is going way off topic, but with a motor pushing 700 horsepower. Would my old school j converter be good? And my transmission has a full manual valve body. Is there anything I need to do to make it handle the horsepower? It will mostly be street driven with maybe a handful of track times.

Off-topic, but i do love my -1's yes.
Have to agree. They're just good.

Yes, the j converters were built for that. We can't tell you what's inside the trans though.

With the engine masters test showing no drop in torque and a big hp gain going up to 270s from either 240s or RPM heads, you’d be looking at another big gain. Question becomes how far do you push a stock block? Big thread on Moparts right now delves into that. We actually have a few choices for a change in that department.

Well as far as I know , other than the full manual valve body its a stock transmission with good parts in it to handle 700 horsepower. Stock input shaft, stock sprag.

I think it will hold up, provided your traction is limited. With slicks it would be wise to install a bolt-in sprag and a billet front clutch retainer.
