TTI vs. Dougs headers

Those particular tti's fit very well in my brothers 67 383 4spd. The ttis are all designed for a certain application.
The Doug's are a one size fits all . And some of the comments are coming from guys with RB experience.

I assume you mean the insulators, or do you find the metal brackets vary sometimes?

In any case, I appreciate you mentioning it and I'll check both. I got a couple pairs of brackets laying around from various mopar big blocks...

If the rubber is not up to snuff, the engine will sit lower and clearance will suffer.

Mostly the insulators..
Mopar motor mount issues often appear as excessive vibration, clunking noises (especially when shifting or accelerating), rough starts, or a jerking sensation, stemming from worn rubber, cracks, or complete failure, leading to engine movement, header clearance issues and potential damage to other components; common solutions involve upgrading to stiffer aftermarket mounts (like Deyeme) to better handle torque.

RemCharger, when you say those particular TTI's I assume you mean the TTI 383440-134 that I mentioned at the start of this post. Does your brother's car have power steering?

Based on the comments I'm getting from all responses, I do get the feeling that BOTH choices will be good.

Today I'm leaning toward the TTI's 383440-134 because
1. My big-block building days are far from over, and this particular header will fit both. When I build the next RB, I can reuse the headers but will need a mini-starter.
2. The TTI's appear much more precisely manufactured from what I've seen. I ran a set in one of my earlier '67 R/T's and had no problems with fitment. That car was a 4-speed but manual steering.
3. Very proud to buy/support American. Mexico OK, but still feel better about parts made in USA. I can go on about the subject but won't.
4. Originally attracted to the Doug's because I thought the stainless was a good idea. Thought a little more and decided to nix the stainless.
5. I know that TTI does a good job packing their headers. I've read comments (not this site) about Doug's headers arriving damaged. What a pain in the *** would be to deal with. If I scrape or dent or drop something from the bench OK, I can own it. But if I pay big dollars to get something that's beat-up before I open the box, I'm not happy.

There's no difference in applications between Doug's and TTIs. Dougs are not one size fits all. B Blocks are listed separately from RB Blocks, that's it, with both companies. Doug's is just a little easier on the wallet. They have increased the price quite a bit lately though.

Thanks, I haven't seen the listing for the low deck Doug's that I recall. Just the 7 B series TTIs and the 10 RB versions.
The skinny 1 3/4's are listed for both applications.. which proves how well they fit.

I looked at this with some intrigue, but they want you to send in a good set of mounts to be molded. Unless they happen to have a set already mocked up when you inquire?

I ordered some 440 source mounts last year. Have yet to install. Those got a lot of good comments versus the crap most people sell.
