I just bought a used bass amp and the potentiometers and push button switches are "dirty"- IE the volume cuts in and out and there is noise when you turn the knobs.

The last time I bought spray cleaner for this problem was at Radio Shack (RIP).

I see WD-40 now sells "Contact cleaner".

Is this any good?

Anyone have a recommendation for something else if not?

CRC contact cleaner, good stuff...however I usually got good results with the dry spray they use for computers, might try that first..

Can't remember exactly...it's been awhile but I don't think it was anything special, I used to buy it at office depot or one of those places. At one time Costco sold it in multi-can packs as well.
