In order to avoid problems in our marriage, she has her own big butt screen so she can watch everything she wants, TV show that I despise, the Kardashians, the voice, Mexican soap operas, gossip shows, talk shows, i have my own screen and my xbox one in another room, I like sports, everything but soccer and those terrible octagon fights ( no need to try to kill your opponent) right now am watching the world series, big fan of F1, terror, scyfy movies and car shows, everything she despises, 10 years married and going strong for another 10.

We purposely do NOT have a TV in the Livingroom. We do have one in the upstairs den. If I watch it, it's on Velocity or Acorn TV. She watches Hallbarf, Lifetime, and any murder mystery cop swat legal type show. She's a retired MP and State Trooper. Then ran her own counseling practice working with victims and perps of violent crime. Lot's of court time as expert witness etc...She despises anything car related. The TV we watch together is ACORN TV. British, Aussie shows. I also like old westerns, old military, and old comedy. I'm more likely to be found rocking out with headphones on, dancing around and playing air instruments...

I am lucky for the most part.
Mary and I have similar interests. We both like Police shows and the Law and Order shows. Sometimes a show we start liking gets cancelled suddenly. We do like many of the same shows.... BUT there are some shows that she likes that I have to ignore.
She used to like Sons of Anarchy. I have zero interest in motorcycle gangs at all. Now the "spin-off" series Mayans is a show she watches...GREAT, lets take another motorcycle gang show and make it with Mexican guys speaking Spanish a lot of the time....
Lucky for me, she isn't too interested in the LIFETIME network movies like a lot of women are.
Battered wives and shattered lives , welcome to the LIFETIME network !
She never watches cooking shows, Dancing shows or stuff about travelling.
She likes crime drama. Criminal Minds is a favorite of hers. Plot lines with that show can get creepy....
Often times, I sit off to the side, pecking away at this computer while she watches. At least she is close by so I can chat with her when the urge strikes...

Role reversal anyone ^^? Wife-Say no to dress-house hunters-fix it up shows-girl sports-Weather Channel. I watch Hannity-Lou Dobbs-Preacher-old movies @Tunner network, some new action movies. We both have big screen TVs. I did watch Walking Dead but it got real old but did watch SOA, Breaking Bad, Better call Saul, Hell on Wheels and all the Space shows

Wife started watching "Below Deck" tv show. I can't stand the show. On the other hand my wife can't stand Graveyard Cars because Worman acts like a jerk all the time.

Not ALL of the time. Personally, I like a guy that is a bit silly. It is a good gauge as to how they will react to me.

Wife started watching "Below Deck" tv show. I can't stand the show. On the other hand my wife can't stand Graveyard Cars because Worman acts like a jerk all the time.

she's not alone, my dad lives with me
he has the same feelings, so a few shows, I just DVR them
fast frwd thru them when he goes to bed

He watches the same Gun Smoke & Bonanza episodes over & over
I can tolerate them at least, just seen them so many times now
I'd rather watch nature, hunting, animal or History **** or car stuff

he watches lame *** mindless **** like "game shows",
IMO The price is right is the freaken' worst
& a few lame *** 'chicks' morning talk shows & dancing ****, any & all
ice skating figure skating/dance crap or 2nd rate talent shows
occasional dykes women's softball & or the bull dykes women's basketball,
when men's baseball or men's basketball is on another channel :crazy:
if you like the sport, watch them, far better (I hate basketball anyway)
(he use to do both competitively, dancing & figure skating, long before they were totally gay),
I can't stand any of them !!
constant tampon or panty liners commercials,
tells you who they target

he's old, his time is limited
so I just go to the computer & come on here
or search the -www- for parts
let him fall asleep watching that mindless, women's or gay crap

Read this twice, love it. My dad also watches all the old 50-60s shows, he can lips sync all of them, Perry Mason, Mattlock, Death Vally, Gunsmoke, Heat of the Night never ending for the last 20 years, he’s 91 so I let him be. Oh and he has 4 ghosts that visits him every nite, wanted to video tape them?!
Still has his smarts and drives so like I said I let him be.
