Hello everyone,
I have been a member since I bought my B body a few years back and like to have a look at the projects going on.
About a year ago now I had to change the distributor on my LA360 equipped Cordoba due to the bearings going and giving some very funky running.
Since getting a new distributor I don't believe I have the right ignition timing. Being in the UK there aren't a lot people or mechanics that know about these engines, distributors, carbs etc.
I have looked on the internet and this forum etc, even a book with a great deal of information about American car models.... except for my car model... I haven't really found any definitive information on the standard LA360 ignition timing. There is usually a sticker in the engine bay but only half of it remains, so I currently nothing to go on.
Would somebody be able to provide me with the factory:
base/initial timing
maximum mechanical advance @ rpm.
vacuum advance
thanks in advance
