You doubt who uses solid wire? Lemmie tell you bud, I bought the kit. I installed it. I had it in my hand. I know what 12/3 house wire in grey conduit looks like and that was it. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.
Stranded jacketed multiple conductor cabling is readily available most anywhere, notably at your local marine supply store. Although it can be very similar in appearance to house wiring, no reputable electrical accessory supplier/manufacturer, especially rallylights.com, would consider the use of solid conductors for any purpose in a moving vehicle. Constant vibration will lead to imminent metal fatigue and is the primary reason why solid wiring is NOT used in any moving vehicle wiring and stranded wiring is.
