Guys what is your go to Valve Cover gasket on a bigblock engine.
Mind you I run stock valve covers but on 440 source aluminum heads.

I always use FelPro 1612 thick gaskets and a product that is really good for aluminum (Yama-Bond) or equivalent.

I was having good luck but not everytime.

Please let me know products of choice.
Thanks Ron

Started using this early 70's. Been using it ever since.

I use those gaskets with all configurations. Ultra black to the cover.. light smear of silicone grease to the head. Remember it's a machined surface so no adhesive necessary on the head.
Then you can take the covers on / off whenever you wish

For a original style stamp steel cover cork is the best in my opinion.
Make sure the cover flanges / edges are true , seal the gaskets to the covers with some regular old gasket sealer , napa , Indian head ect.
Don't over tighten.
That's what works for me.
