I took my afternoon ride to Our Cemetary today, to offer some prayers for My Dad, Uncles, and All their fellow Servicemen/women that have gone to their Rest. I was surprised to see only 1 other older gent, like myself, walking the sections. What really shocked me was the Lack of Colors at the Vets Graves ? It used to be quite well done for this, but apparently This is another Part of Our History that is Fading with the New Cultural Shift ???
Again, THANK YOU VETS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from the center of town, where they host the annual luminary display for our veterans. The lions club does this every year and it keeps getting bigger and bigger, this year being the biggest I ever seen.

Yup, I repaired the sonar equipment and she did QA and NDT. The HT C school was in Philly at the time and I met her at the base club. Married her when I was 21 and still together.

Three brothers in Vietnam during the heights. Late 60’s. Two came back whole - The other left his mind there. Died an early death. May as well have gone in-country. He was my closest friend as a brother. I think of him every day. He lives in eternal life with a calm and rested soul. Miss you Brother… Miss you…

Just an FYI....there are lots of veterans on the state and federal payroll. Veterans get "Preference Points" due to there service. Some get more than others due to combat.
Be careful about casting the net so broadly.

veterans are the ones who deserve the paid day off, no matter where they work........ everyone else, not so much
