Vin# question. I'm trying to track down the history of my 1969 RR. I was able to get go back to the person I purchased it from in Idaho.

I'm trying to track down the history of my 1969 RR. I was able to get go back to the person I purchased it from in Idaho. He bought it from a dealer in Canada and brought it to the US as a project car. I haven been able to run the Vin# because it's from another country. Is there a way to run a Vin# in Canada ?

You can't even "run a vin" in the US due to privacy laws. Do you have any paperwork (receipts, window sticker, buildsheet)? Best you can do is google the number and hope for the best.

A start would be which province did it come from. Here it's 20 bucks for a cross Canada vin check.
