Vinyl top

Replacing vinyl top 69 RR would like any opinions or how tos. And yes really want it replaced.

I just did mine.
I used a legendary top and DAP contact cement. I shot the cement with a siphon feed spray gun.

Find the center of the roof and draw a line from front to back. ( I used s long straight edge)

Fold the top and find and mark the center.

Place the top on the car, folded at the middle and shoot the contact cement from the center out.

Work the glued side out, making sure the line on the roof and the marks on the new top stay aligned.

Once you have the first side done, repeat the process from the center out on the other side.

I masled off the entire car to avoid making a mess with the contact cement.

Don’t stretch it more than you need to to get the wrinkles out.

Once you have it all glued, trim the edges with a razor blade.
Mineral spirits will cut the cement if you get some somewhere you don’t want it.

Note in the pics that you apply the cement to the top of the car and the vinyl top.
