Hi
I need to replace my water pump on my 451 (613hp, 625tq) with TFS240 heads because it's leaking from vent hole. It's a flow cooler that I put in about 20 years ago so I did get good service life. In the past 2 engines I had (440 cast iron 452 heads) and this one I did notice after long drives the coolant in overflow would be bubbling, burbling etc...and the temps were just past middle on the stock gauge, which made me feel uncomfortable. The rad is a 28# 3 core (79 Magnum) original with Shroud and clutch fan. I have 1 50/50 prestone and the rest is distilled water with 1 lucas super coolant. I have been doing some reading and there was alot of talk about "high flow" like the flow cooler being too quick and not allowing rad to do it's job. I've also seen recommendation of an A/C water pump??. Heard about difuser disc's as well. I don't really want to change the rad unless I have to and the only direct fit seems to be Griffin which is costly. Need help cooling engine down.
Thanks
