I am continuing my research for my 5.7 swap in my 71 Charger (already have a crate 5.7) and am looking at what I want to do for a throttle body and subsequent throttle pedal. My first thought is to use a modified TB that uses a cable, therefore I can use the stock pedal. However, I am looking at a DRW TB and pedal as an option. Looking for some thoughts, ideas, experiences, comments. I just read one post on here about a TB that went into limp mode requiring it to be replaced, so that kind of has me meaning more back towards the cable option.
My 2015 JGC 5.7 I use the Pedal commander It goes inline with the cable to the pedal I have only had a engine light fault when you change settings while the car is in drive light will go off by itself There are a lot of settings to use I use sport plus
Thanks, I am looking at that pedal. I also been checking out the pedal commander and I am intrigued, thinking about getting one for my 2014 Ram 2500.
You can use the factory pedal, 03-04’ truck pedal box. It converts the pull of the cable to am electrical signal that then goes to the throttle body.
I've been reading about that, I think however the dedicated pedal is probably a better idea, less moving parts overall. Since I already have a TB, I think I will use the JGC pedal, if something breaks I know I can get parts.
