What automotive skills do you WISH that you had ?

I saw an ad during OVERHAULIN... Ever heard of Wyotech?
I'm closing in on my 30 years as a Carpenter, I'd be able to retire with a pension then. I'd love to learn how to improve on my skills. I'd probably find out how wrong I've been doing things all these years.

I'd like to be better at finding a 1970 Hemi Cuda for $1.00

When you find it, let me know, and I'll give you one thousand times what you paid for it.

you can learn all that stuff right here

Yeah, well nothing really compares to "hands-on" type instruction.

none of this stuff is all that hard...... for the price of tuition, you could probably score up a good project car and have enough left over for a welder and some basic body tools ...... just a thought

Just like anything else...depends on how bad you want it...then, go for it! I learned long time ago, couldn't afford paying someone to do what I wanted done, so learned how to do it myself. (Lol, nope can't do everything, but get by)
Engines, carbs, alignment, and so on. Building those 727s is not that hard, done several, just going by overhaul books. But, I'm also a firm believer in...if you want it done right, do it yourself!

I wish I could start and finish one project at a time!

I,d give my left arm to be able to paint pinstripes....i,m right handed!

A friend of mine runs a machine shop and is the best automotive machinist in the area and that's not just my opinion. Most of the shops in the area send their work to him. I would love to be 30 years younger and work with him for a few years, but my old back and knees won't stand the heavy lifting anymore. If I knew half of the stuff this guy knows I'd be happy.
