What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

This was about 24 inches wide at the base. Some of those pieces were so tough to split so I had to cut with the grain into the log with my chainsaw to get the splitter to go through. Lots of strands kept it together even after being split…I have a shed full of Cherry, White oak, Maple and Ash from jobs I am currently burning now.
Sounds like what 'live oak' does....the grain is wavy and hard to split and burns slow in the fireplace. Large LO smokes but smaller logs do ok.
Yep... Pioneer!! Nothing like blowing 6" of snow in Mid range high....

Cool stuff!!!

Took delivery of my new Ram...right outside my door. Didn't have to set foot into a single dealership. The internet is actually good for something after all. lol

Yeah, its good for something (for the crooks). Its called Identity Theft, that's exactly how it was done to me. According to the Credit Bureau's, I own two new vehicles that I've never seen, driven, or touched. Crook got my info, bought new vehicles over the internet, (and to make matters worse, they aren't even Dodge's) never set foot inside the dealerships and had them delivered to a fake address where he picked them up and drove off into the sunset. :mob:

Im sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, that is today's day and age, my friend.

Were you able to get out from underneath them?

Yes, I agree with you, there are more people trying to take advantage of tech these days to steal from others than there are honest people working hard to earn their own way. Now we have AI to add to the thievery. Its so common that law enforcement is often overwhelmed with cases and prosecution is low if they actually ARE able to catch the crook.

In my case, we did get the offender, we did prosecute, we did get a conviction. But then a plea deal was offered by the prosecutor that was basically a slap on the wrist, and he's out on probation. In the meantime, my credit rating has been tanked for the past 3 1/2 years.

(and you all wonder why I'm a grouchy SOB)

That’s how I traded in my last car and had my truck show up, it was awesome. I don’t want to do it the old way ever again, at least for the more boring newer daily driver cars.
Then again while all private party that’s how I got my Coronet too.

argued with the parts guy at NAPA about why they still don’t have my damn gasket in stock and now I’m procrastinating on laundry while thinking about sneaking back out to the garage anyway
