What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Our Pick-N-Pull wrecking yards are having a 40% off sale, so i got some parts off a 69 Dart, that one of the local yards has in one of their Chrysler rows.

Put a bid together with 5 alternates on a remodel :fool: , we did the house next door, Mike Tirico's. Getting ready for the winter blast supposably 6 to 8" probably get 3" with the weatherman's forecast average. Watching U of M losing control over Ohio State. Not looking good for the Wolverines.

Washed and almost done drying 3 large loads of clothing and changed the sheets on the bed and just back from the grocery store. Bought 30 19oz cans of soup (majority of it is chicken noodle) for a buck and a quarter and a few other items that were on sale. Haven't seen that stuff this cheap since before Covid. The wife will be stopping by the hardware store to pick up a few items....

We lost our mother in law last night. She was the eldest, but also the last of the "Silent Generation." She was just short of 95. So now it's up to us late Boomers and GenX.

This life is going WAY too fast.

role swapping, that's all I'm going to say

She does plenty so I do what I can to help out. We have another household to help take care of where her daughter lives and is handicapped and doesn't get around very well either so she doesn't do a whole lot in keeping the place tidy.

Go up, ...fell outa bed, ....and dragged the comb across my head.

Went down stares an drank a cup, ...somebody spoke and I went into a dream...

Aaaaaaaaa, A A Aaaaaaaa A A Aaaaaa.........

atta boy!
She's at the other house now and will pass by Lowes on the way home so I told her I would go to the grocery store and she could stop by Lowes on the way home.....and she helped me with the clothes before heading over there lol.

Staying proficient...

Does it have that 3D printed chicken? If so that might explain why it was on sale. lol

I went to play Tetris with the cars today so I can work on the Ranchero's carb tomorrow (Autolite 2100 with an accelerator pump issue), discovered the Vette has leaked its brake fluid out thanks to a warning light. But on the non car front, while doing this the neighbor (guy with baseball equip the other day) comes over and says something is wrong with the lawn mower.

He brings it over, a self propelled model, and the propelled wheels will role partially and then lock up. Put it up on the Ranchero to use as a workbench and pop one wheel off and see a screw jammed in the plastic gear of the wheel. It came loose from the smaller pinion(?) gear where it holds it to the shaft.
Slapped it back together with Loctite, lubed the spindles and rotated the wheels side to side, for some reason one side is almost bald even tho its effectively running a spool so you would think the wear would be even.
